Pt. 2 – Warning:
*God strictly warns us about false prophets and false teachers in the end times who will distort the scriptures to their own destruction. He also tells us that the Holy Spirit will guide the true believers into all truth and that His sheep know His voice because His spirit testifies with our spirit that we belong to God and are His children. He will call the true believers out of the false religions or even the twisted churches that call themselves Christians.
*Sadly, many religious organizations today are just a bunch of worldly corporations run by worldly people masquerading as Christians as they peddle the word of God for profit.
Jesus was right when He said: “You will know them by their fruits.”
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
– God doesn’t call the qualified, He justifies the called.
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
*The modern church strives to fit God into a little box of their own, limiting Him to their own time schedule rather than letting the Holy Spirit lead them into His.
2 Peter 2:1
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves
2 Peter 2:2
Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
2 Peter 2:3
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God — having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
*Even more dangerous are churches that have a lot of biblical truths mixed within a bunch of man-made religion and other lies that have nothing to do with truth or real Christianity.
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:15
It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
Sadly, a lot of the smaller churches are small because they actually preach truth, whereas the bigger “mega-churches” are, a lot of times, preaching what peoples itching ears want to hear (ie. The Prosperity Gospel – where people can attend church every Sunday with preachers that make them feel completely comfortable living in their sin.)
– Preach real truth and you won’t draw a large crowd.
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
2 Timothy 4:4
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
– People now days are more interested in making God into their own image rather than letting God make them into His…
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
