Hell no? Hell yes.
How much more proof do you need that God loves you? I mean, He makes all these rules and commands in the Bible Himself that we clearly can’t follow perfectly enough to have a relationship with Him.
So then… He punishes Himself instead by sending His own Son, Jesus, to be the sacrifice for our sins instead of just casting us in the fires of Hell and being eternally separated from us.
Once someone is in Hell, there is no longer any hope of salvation for them. God no longer hears their prayers or cries anymore because it’s now too late for them…
It is, in fact, an eternity without light, where you can no longer feel the love of God or His presence ever again… stuck in complete and outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth forever and ever and ever.
THAT is what our sin and wrongdoing deserve since death IS the only payment there is for sin.
That is how serious God takes any wrongdoing. Hell is exactly what the Bible teaches will happen to those who reject God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is the final and everlasting payment they will receive in the end when they are judged for their lives.
Whether we like it or not, it is what it is. We are in this thing and we have a choice to make.
We can’t change this fact by putting our faith elsewhere. In the end, those false gods and idols made of stone won’t save you because they don’t have any power to save in the first place. Only Jesus can save us. So no, God isn’t just some God up there who doesn’t care about all of the horrible things happening on the earth today. He sees it all, and in His mercy, He is giving time for people to repent of their sins and turn to Him – but the door won’t stay open forever.
These aren’t just religious scare tactics either. So why preach Hell? What for? Who would have anything to gain by making up the idea of Hell in the first place besides making enemies? The idea of Hell wouldn’t give any religious leader power or control over anything because all someone would have to do is find another church and move on. If anything, talking about Hell turns people off because they don’t want to hear about it, since it’s an unpleasant reality they don’t want to have to deal with.
Preachers definitely aren’t going to be filling the rows with people every Sunday if they continue to preach this truth… So as you can see, it HAS to be from God because it profits no religious leader anything but a bunch of haters and a minuscule congregation in the end. But the truth is Jesus himself preached about Hell and so did his disciples.
The world already doesn’t care about God, truth, or living according to His word anyway, so what good would it do to throw in the idea of Hell on top of all that if it wasn’t God Himself really trying to warn us of something? No human being would benefit from this idea – except the ones that realize the seriousness of it all and repent and turn to the Lord.
Anyone who is willing to preach about Hell definitely isn’t doing it for themselves, their fame or their own popularity – but clearly for God.
They are willing to preach this truth at the risk of having the world hate them for bringing such an offensive word to their lives. True love preaches the truth. Self-love preaches flattery.
John 7:18
Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.
Sadly, people think if they just ignore the truth altogether and pretend everything is okay, they can somehow escape God’s judgement and it won’t have to be a reality they will ever have to deal with.
If the idea of hell would have been from human origin it would have failed, but since it is from God, we will not be able to stop this reality; we will only find ourselves fighting against the very truth of God. We must take His warning serious because if it is true, then it is our very lives at stake.
– If Hell isn’t real, you have nothing to worry about and nothing to lose, but if it is real, you have everything to worry about and everything to lose.
BUT WAIT… GOD
He had a plan all along – it was Jesus Christ – who left His throne in Heaven, being sent by God to be supernaturally born of a virgin, conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He lived a perfect life, never sinned once & taught us what it meant to love, know, and follow God.
He was then betrayed, arrested, mocked, tortured, spit upon, beaten to a pulp and then sentenced to be brutally murdered by being nailed to a cross between two thieves to die while wearing a crown of thorns. At this moment, He became the permanent sacrifice for all of the sins of the whole world – past, present and future – once and for all.
God put upon Jesus the punishment that we ourselves deserved for our sins. He Himself died and paid for our sins in our place so that we don’t have to.
Because of His love for us, Jesus took God’s wrath that was stored up and meant for us upon Himself.
He died and was then raised from the dead by the mighty power of God three days later. He now sits at the right hand of the Father as our Lord and Savior. Thus, Jesus Himself became our one and only mediator between us and God and intercedes for us on our behalf.
Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved – It doesn’t matter what you have done or how bad you have been.
After receiving Christ, He gives us a helper – the promised Holy Spirit that comes through salvation.
John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you
God came to make a way for all people, all races, and all nations to get right with the Lord once again. He came to bring new life to those who repent of their sins (which is simply agreeing that God knows better than we do and aligning our hearts and minds with His belief system.)
We have to wholeheartedly put our faith and belief solely in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We must accept the work God accomplished through Jesus on the cross, and acknowledge that there is no other name under Heaven by which we can be saved.
Once we accept Christ, we should then turn our lives away from doing what He says is wrong and flee from the sin that so easily entangles us.
So God, because of His great love for us, makes His way back to us once again. He does all of this so that He can have a relationship with us, and us with Him.
Jesus loved us so much that He was faithful unto death – even death on a cross.
Who wouldn’t want a God like that?
So, where else are we going to go? Who else can offer us the absolute truth or an explanation for the meaning and purpose of our very lives? Who else can offer us the greatest gift of all – a relationship with our loving Father and eternal life with our one true family?
Only THE Lord Jesus Christ can offer that!
John 6:68
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
– Flesh gives birth to flesh, but His Holy Spirit gives birth to our dead spirits and breathes new life in us when we are born again.
Call on Him while you still can before the door is shut forever. Once you die, it’s too late. You’ve already made your decision while you lived.
There are no second chances.
There is no reincarnation.
The Bible says clearly that we live and die once; after that, we face judgment.
The choice is yours.
Choose you this day which God you will serve: Yourself? Other false gods? Or the one True God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:14-15
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
That is why we are here.
Hebrews 3:15
As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
Daniel 12:3
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the Heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
1 John 2:18-19
Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
