So how are we saved exactly?
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
**PLEASE know that it doesn’t matter how bad you have been, or what you have done – no matter where you are, Jesus came to seek that which was lost… us. You are never too far from God’s grace. As long as you are alive and breathing, you can turn to Him right now. Until your last breath is drawn, it’s never too late to repent.
As long as you still have breath, there is hope for you. You are not lost.
EVERYONE who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved.
FIRST AND FOREMOST UNDERSTAND THIS:
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
*Salvation and eternal life are found IN NO ONE ELSE BUT JESUS CHRIST. He is our one mediator between us and God. Period. Not mother Mary, not the pope nor a priest – Jesus Christ is the the High Priest and you already have access directly to God through a relationship with Him. In fact, you ONLY have access to God through Jesus. Period.
Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
That being said, asking Him into our hearts willingly is the key.
We aren’t robots.
He doesn’t force us to want Him or obey Him.
His Holy Spirit lovingly draws us towards Him because He wants more than anything to save us and have a relationship with us.
Romans 8:19
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
So what do you do? You feel God drawing you, you just feel the fire in your gut yearning….
Just surrender.
Romans 10:13
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Acts 2:38
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
Romans 4:8
Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”
*So, if we open and surrender our hearts and lives over to Him by confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Then we will receive the promised Holy Spirit. The scriptures give us confidence in this in many places – but most importantly, He will live inside of you and your heart. Your body was made to be a temple of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?
2 Corinthians 5:5
Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
2 Corinthians 1:22
set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Ephesians 1:13
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
John 14:17
the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
This is 100% life changing news for the believer – we aren’t flying blind in the dark here. We are not alone. We have His Holy Spirit living inside of us – IF we actually belong to Jesus…
However, The Bible clearly says if we don’t have the Spirit of Christ that we do not belong to Christ.
Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
If you don’t belong to Christ and you want to be saved and start a relationship with Him, then just get on your knees right now and ask Him to come into your heart, to save you, and be the Lord of your heart and life.
BEWARE: Not everyone who says they are a Christian actually mean it… there are fraudulent Christians.
1 John 4:6
We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
